Ciao! Benvenuto a la Trattoria del Terror. This recurring column will cover Giallo films, the bloody genre of Italian thrillers that made onscreen murder more stylish than it ever had been before and helped launch the careers of legends like Mario Bava, Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci. The fertile genre lasted from about 1964-84, although occasional "stabs" at reviving it are periodically released to this day. So pull up a seat for a tour through a psycho-cinematic world of black gloved killers, creepy soundtracks, crazy murders and plenty of the red stuff. Mangia!
